Drunk Eyes
On April 17th, 2012, I was drinking heavily with my friends as I tended to do. The following are selected frames from a video file taken that night after I fell. This doesn't paint a flattering picture of myself but what was documented has become important to me.
It’s important to me because I have cold hard evidence of what transpired while my memories are obfuscated. As a reminder of my stupidity, of my recklessness, and also of those who cared for me when I was at my worst for one of many times.
There is an inherent loss of quality between a photograph and frames of video. Each still is from 1/24th of a second of a video lasting over twelve minutes. Some are blurry and out of focus, which echoes the inebriated state I was in.
